Bronze figure on a wooden base. Tall 13.5 inches. Edition limited to 49 pieces.
Once again I found the inspiration in one of Cusachs’ paintings. His painting “Sergeant of the Hussars of the Princess” is the base for this figure.
I had to conduct some research in order to get the different details of that uniform in place in 1880.
I started sculpting it in the summer of 1998 in Castellon, however since I did not have enough time available I left it unfinished. I restarted and finished it in March 2001 in Madrid.
