Llevaba tiempo intentando toparme con las tropas de Napoleón pero no había manera de dar con ellas…

Era cuestión de tiempo, así que este mes por fin las he encontrado en Saint Quirin, un precioso pueblo de los Vosgos alsacianos donde desarrollaban sus maniobras invernales al mando del mismísimo mariscal Masséna. La asociación “Vosges napoléoniennes” ha desplegado su campamento en este fantástico lugar donde durante un fin de semana ha desarrollado diversas actividades de instrucción, así como de exaltación de valores patrios. Algo digno de reseña.

En fin, a mi cámara no se le ha escapado detalle y ya tengo nuevo material para futuras obras.

I had been for quite a while trying to come across Napoleon’s troops in French soil but it seemed to me there was no way to find them…

I knew it was a matter of time, so this month I have finally found them in Saint Quirin, a beautiful village in the Alsatian Vosges where they were performing winter drills commanded by Marshall Masséna himself. This month, the association “Vosges napoleoniennes” set up its camp in this fantastic place and has been developing different training activities for a weekend as well as fostering patriotic values. Something remarkable!

By the way, my photo camera has captured every detail and now I have new material for future artworks.
