Este mes me he acercado al Metropolitan Museum en NY. Este es un museo que sin duda vale la pena visitar y dedicar unas cuantas horas a recorrerlo. Aunque las salas de pintura son las que mas tiempo me han entretenido, en el area de escultura he encontrado una que me ha gustado especialmente. Es esta que podeis ver en la foto, titulada “Evening” del escultor americano, nacido en Francia en 1855; Frederick W. Ruckstull.

Una autentica pasada. He estado un buen rato dando vueltas a la misma. De hecho, he pintado unas acuarelas de la misma que podeis ver al final de la pagina “Acuarelas y Dibujos” en esta pagina web. Espero que os gusten.

This month I had the chance to visit the Metropolitan Museum in NY. That’s a awesome museum!

The parlors devoted to paintings are amazing, specially those of American paintings. However I found a sculpture that really bewitched me. This is “Evening”, the figure you can see in the picture above. The author is Frederick W. Ruckstull, an American-French artist born in 1855, .

It kept me busy for a while “inspecting” it and finally I decided to paint some watercolors of it. You can see them in this webpage, at the end of the section “Paintings”. I hope you like them.
